Promotion to Peterborough

Mr. Frank Jefferson, son of Mr. and Airs. James Jefferson, of 5. Market Square, began work this week as a sorting clerk and telegraphist at Peterborough Post Office, following promotion from Goldthorpe Post Office, where for the past three years he has been a counter clerk under Mr. F. C. Mawson (postmaster).

Mr. Jefferson was a prominent member of the Doncaster Road Methodist Church and secretary of the Sunday School.

A native of Goldthorpe, he was educated at Highgate and Goldthorpe schools and recently passed a Post Office examination.
