Coal Output

Output losses due to stoppages at three pits in No. 3 Area of the North-Eastern Divisional Coal Board last week amounted to 7,540 tons.

At Manvers Main Colliery, a strike in the Haigh Moor Seam cut output by 6,285 tons. Normal working was resumed on Monday after a ballot among the 200 miners affected. The other stoppages were at Wath Main and Cortonwood

Area output of 122,963 tons was down by 22,536 tons on the previous week. Pits to top their targets were New Stubbin and Silverwood
