Wedding: Parker & Whittles
At Barnburgh Church on Saturday Miss Minnie Evelina Theaker Whittles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Whittles, Green Lane, Barnburgh, was married to Mr. George Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Parker, Hayfields, Awkley.
The Rey. W. Hartley conducted the ceremony and wedding music was played by Mrs. Lindsey on the organ. The bride wore lace and white georgette and carried red roses. The bridesmaids, Misses Georgina Mary Parker and Iris Coldbeck, wore green and lemon silk, and carried bronze chrysanthemums.
Mr. Harry Parkinson was best man and Messrs. Robert and Victor Whittles and Robert Leslie Hunter groomsmen. The bridesmaids received strings of pearls from the bridegroom.
