Truce in Barnborough Main Dispute

As a result of intervention by Mr. J. A. Hall, financial secretary to the Yorkshire Mineworkers’ Association, a temporary settlement was reached yesterday in the dispute which had caused a complete stoppage at Barnborough Main Colliery, near Mexborough.

The men held a mass meeting at Goldthorpe and decided to accept the advice of their leaders and restart work on the night shift, the management agreeing to meet a deputation forthwith.
