With New Zealand Forces 

Mr. W. Mann. who left Goldthorpe eleven years ago with his wife and two sons to join his wife’s brother (Mr. S. Crockett) in New Zealand, has now two sons serving with the Zealand Forces.

Mr. Mann was well known in Goldthorpe district as a pianist and was formerly a deputy at Barnburgh Main, organist at Goldthorpe Parish Church and pianist for the Dearne Valley Musical Union.

His sons are Gunner 0 Mann (25), serving in the East, and Gunner S. Mann (23), who is expecting going overseas any time. Both attended Mexborough Secondary School before going to New Zealand.
