Private Criddle,  son of Coun. and Mrs. J. Griddle, of Goldthorpe, has been three years on active service without leave, and is now serving in Palestine. He has previously seen service in Gallipoli and the Balkans, and took part in the landing at Suvla Bay.

His brother, Pte. H. H. Criddle (Yorks.) has been in the thick of the recent fighting on the Western Front,
