Loss to Goldthorpe.
The death occurred at his home, rather suddenly on Saturday, of Mr. E. Turner, one of Goldthorpe’s best known residents.
Deceased, who was 66 years of age, was a retired tradesman and a former member of the Bolton-on-Dearne Council, whilst he had also held the office of overseer.
He owned considerable property in the district, was of a most amiable disposition and a thorough sportsman.
He leaves a widow, one son, Mr. Alban Turner, the former County cricketer, now with the Forces, and four daughters.
