 Inquest on Goldthorpe Pit Boy

An accident at Barnborough Main the colliery on Tuesday, in one was killed by a fall of roof and another youth was buried up to his waist, was described to the District Coroner, Mr. W.H.. Carlile at a Goldthorpe inquest yesterday on Charles Henryy. Leaver ((17) of Princess street.

Robert J. Mickleborough. of Henry Place, Mexborough, said he heard a crash and found himself very to the waist. He shouted for assistance and was released by other men. Leaver was extricated in 20 minutes but was dead.

A deputy William Allott, could offer no explanation of the accident, as the place was well timbered.

A verdict of ‘’Accidental death was returned.
