A Goldthorpe girl, Miss Eileen Routledge, has passed the final examination of the Library Association and is now in charge of the Anchors Holme Library at Blackpool.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Routledge, of 32, Market Squar, Goldthorpe, Miss Routledge, aged 21, is a former pupil of Goldthorpe Sacred Heart School and Notre Dame High School and later studied at Manchester College of Commerce.

Her main interests are music  and tennis.
