Goldthorpe Victims

A Goldthorpe miner named John Houldsworth was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Goldthorpe on February 23rd.

Police constable Wressell stated the ease, and was corroborated by Sergeant Johnson, who said the defendant’s proper name was Unsworth.

A fine of 16e., to include the costs, was imposed.

John Elson, miner, Thurnscoe, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Goldthorpe on February 23rd.

Sergeant Johnson having proved the service of the summons, the case was stated by Police Wressall. He said the offence was committed at 11.45 p.m., and the defendant was wanting to fight with a crowd of people around

He was fined 13s. 6d., Including the costs.
