Ernest Martin (34), miner, of 83, Doncaster Road, Denaby, was fatally injured at the Denaby Main Colliery on Wednesday. Martin was struck by a fall of rock and was dead on admission to the Fullerton Hospital. Colours usually be

By a grim coincidence Martin’s father was killed in the same seam in July, 1923.

Lloyd Earnshaw (17), of 119, The Crescent. Bolton-on-Dearne, was severely injured at the Barnburgh Colliery on Wednesday night and died shortly after admission to the Mexborough Montagu Hospital.
