Examination Success.

Holidaying in Goldthorpe this week is Mr. Stanley Smith, son of Mr. Benjamin Smith, of 75, Barnsley Road.

Mr. Smith left Goldthorpe eighteen months ago to work at the Runwell Mental Home and Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Essex, when that institution was first opened.

Last week he learned that he had successfully passed an examinaton qualifying him as a male nurse. Mr. Smith was educated at the Highgate Schools and before leaving the district was well known as a dairy produce salesman.
