A Goldthorpe Couple

Mr Gill and Martin formerly were fined 15/6 and 10/6 respectively for being drunk and disorderly at Goldthorpe on Saturday week.

They were discussing the relative merits of beer versus whiskey when PC Duncan met them

“Peace” at Thurnscoe

Similarly treatment was meted out to Jarvis Peace of Thurnscoe, who was similarly charged.

PC Wayne being the officer concerned.

Although defendant on Monday week could hardly stand for beer, he went through the streets singing “Peace, perfect peace.”
