Domestic Troubles at Goldthorpe

At Doncaster, on Saturday, Benjamin Milner, Collier, Goldthorpe was accused by his wife, Mary Milner, of persistent cruelty, and she applied for a separation order

The parties were married in May 1902, and there are two children. The wife stated that the defendant had ill treat her on several occasions, the last being on March 14, when he came home drunk and demanded sixpence. She would not give him the money, and he turned her out of the house.

The magistrates granted the wife a separation order with the custody of the children, and an allowance of 12 shillings weekly.
