Dearne Athletic are building a good young side for the Sheffield Association League.

Several good lads have joined and are joining the club, and the side is not at all discouraged by away defeats so far.

On Saturday, although beaten at Hallam, they gave a good account of themselves.

Attached is a photograph of Stan Jefferson, a 16 year old member of a well-known local footballing family. All soccer enthusiasts in the Dearne area will remember his father who used to play for the old Goldthorpe United. His brother is with Queens Park.

Stan, can play either right or left full-back.
