Cyclists Pay Tribute

To Pioneer Member of Goldthorpe Club

A two minutes silence in remembrance of Mr. Colin Smith was observed at the annual dinner and social of the Goldthorpe and District Clarion Cycling Club, held in the St. John Ambulance headquarters, yesterday.

Mr. Smith, well-known cycling enthusiast and a pioneer member of the club, was involved in a fatal accident at the Barnborough Main Colliery on the Friday before Christmas.

Mr. D. Glaswell presided over about 100 members, the presentations being made by Mr. Reg Sanderson after games, competitions, and dancing.
