A Mixed Lot

There was a remarkably light list of cases to be dealt with.

A New Conisboro’ miner named Michael Gowen was ordered to pay 5s. and the costs for having been drunk and disorderly at Denaby on April 15th.

For having used obscene language, the following were fined:

  • George Brewster, filler, Conisboro’ — 5s. and the costs.
  • George Vernon, miner, Conisboro’ — 7s. 6d. and the costs.
  • William Westwood, miner, Denaby — 5s. and the costs (6s. 6d.).

For having kept a dog without a licence, Nelson Green, a Mexboro’ labourer, had to pay a fine of 25s.

Four Highgate miners, named Ernest Bloor, Ernest Wood, Isaiah Smith, and Hy. Boulton, were each ordered to pay 10s.
