This (Friday) evening, Mr. Tom Williams, M.P., will deliver a lecture, entitled “A Tour Through the Houses of Parliament,” illustrated by lantern slides, at the Primitive Methodist Schoolroom, Mexborough.
The London and North-Eastern Railway have decided upon an extensive programme for the construction of new locomotives, carriages, and wagons, which will involve an expenditure during 1925 of £6,000,000.
Bolton Council are hoping to conclude negotiations for the supply of Sheffield water. The Chairman (Mr. Probert) anticipates that most of the water troubles will be ended in six months.
Swinton Council have received sanction for the erection of 57 houses on the Brookfield Estate, the contract for which has been given to Messrs. Meanley and Son, Mexborough.

Mr. Arthur Cyril Hague, of Church Street, Swinton, has received the degree of Bachelor of Arts of the Durham University. He will shortly be ordained deacon in the Church of England.
A Christmas treat organised by the Mexborough Rotary Club for fatherless children in Mexborough and the neighbourhood will be held on Friday, December 19th, at the Oxford Picture House and the Public Hall, Mexborough.
