Tepper for Playmouth Argyle
Plymouth Argyle on Monday signed George Samuel Tepper, the Goldthorpe United winger, who joined the club after a spell with Gainsboro’ at the beginning of the season, the transfer fee being £100.
Tepper has played on both wings and at centre-forward for Goldthorpe and has scored 12 goals in his last seven matches. He is a Mexboro’ youth and as a boy played for the district schools team. He has also been with Chesterfield, Bristol Rovers and Blackpool, for whom he scored 19 goals in the Central. League last season.
In spite of this wide experience he is only 20 years of age. He stands 5ft. 8ins. and weighs 10st. 10lbs. Other clubs who have been watching him this season are Grimsby Town and Notts County. He made arrangements to travel down with his new colleagues after the replayed F.A. Cup tie at Huddersfield on Wednesday.
