Proud Parents

Three Goldthorpe brothers are doing their bit in the Forces, and their parents. Mr. and Mrs. William Gundry, of 27, Princess Road, Goldthorpe, are very proud of them.

Mr. Gundry himself served in the York and Lancaster Regiment during the last war, and two of his sons are now in France.

Driver William Gundry (21). has nearly four years’ service to his credit, and is in France.

Private Leslie Gundry has 18 months’ service’ to his credit, and is 19 He is across in France.

The youngest of the three is Private Samuel Gundry (18), who is with a Highland Regiment somewhere in Britain.

Before joining up all were colliers at Barnburgh Main.
