Private Wordley of 72, Main street, Goldthorpe, has been awarded the Military Medal for gallantry in the field.

He enlisted in Nov., 1914, and has served in Egypt and Salonica, where he had an attack of fever.

Before enlistment he worked at Canklow Main.
