A/c.1 Kenneth Hyde, son of Mr. and Mrs T. Hyde, of 2, Green Lane, Barnburgh, is serving with the R.A.F. ground staff in India, having been abroad for two years.
Before joining the Forces in 1941 he was an electrician in the Leeds district. He sends home interesting accounts of village life and customs in India, along with snaps of the villagers, views of the scenery and of animal life.
His most interesting account was of a visit, along with a few others, as guests of the Maharajah of Mysore, during which they visited an Indian temple.
Pte. Rosaline Hyde is serving in the A.T.S. Before joining the Forces in 1942 she was a clerk at Manvers Main Coke Ovens.
