L/Cpl. Wilfred Hague (30), a member of the Commandos, is home on leave pending an operation after wounds received in his eighth raid. His wife and child were injured in an air raid, and since then have resided at 3. Windsor Square, Thurnscoe, with his father and mother-in-law. Joining the Army four years ago, L/Cpl.
Hague transferred to the Commandos over two years ago, and during that time has taken part in eight raids. In the last he was wounded in the head, arm, and leg. He is expecting to go into hospital shortly.
Bred and born in Goldthorpe, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Hague, of 111, Main Street, Goldthorpe.
