Promotion With “Eighth”

Mrs. E. Bradley, of 27, Lindale Gardens, Goldthorpe, has had word from her husband, Lieut. E. H. Bradley, who is with the H.Q. staff of the Eighth Army that he has been promoted captain and camp commandant.

Capt. Bradley has been with the staff since January, and his appointments during the Middle East campaigns have necessitated three journeys to and from this country. He has recently been engaged on escort duties to General Montgomery. A cadet at Sandhurst Military College, Capt. Bradley was commissioned in the King’s Dragoon Guards, passing out with full honours and being presented with a Sam Brown belt, distinction of outstanding cadets.

He is a native of Goldthorpe and has served in the Army for 12 years.
