Over 60 persons, nearly all of them miners, were charged at the Doncaster West Riding Court yesterday .
The men were, from , from Goldthorpe, Edlington, Bentley, Rossington, Doncaster, South Elmsall Thorne, Adwick-le-Street, Highfields and Carcroft, and the offences took place at Newton and Goldthorpe.
Superintendant Minty said that many of the men were convicted as recently as October 6th.
In the Goldthorpe cases fines were inflicted varying from 30 s to £5 each.
Robert O. Milner a miner from Goldthorpe was fined £5 having 19 previous convictions against him.
