Parkin Cup Winner

G. Bates a Barnburgh Bevin boy, who, as reported in our last issue, won the Parkin Cup in the Yorkshire Collieries Ambulance League competition for first-year men.

He was formerly an apprentice cabinet maker and before coming to Barnburgh had had no first aid training.
