The home team lost their first four wickets for 17 runs, and were all out for 89. Two batsmen. C Probert (47) and J Riley (24) scoring 71 of the total. Probert hit 8 fours and 1 six.
Maddock, for Collegiate, took 5 for 16 in five overs, two of which were maidens, and Elliott had 3 for 19.
Collegiate had little difficulty in reaching the total. P. G. Barber batted through for 49 and along with A. H. Connell put on 31 for the first wicket. The visitors reached 90 for the loss of three wickets, the match lasting 2 hour and 35 minutes.
