Goldthorpe Colliers Sunday Employment

Alfred Lawton and John Silman, colliers of Goldthorpe were summoned for using dogs the purpose of taking game on a Sunday at Marr on March 7.

Defendants did not appear.

Mr Baddeley, who prosecuted, said that this case was really a continuation of a case at the last court, the present defendants been in company with the four men summing on that occasion, were not identified by the keepers on the night of the offence.

Arthur Cullen, Gamekeeper, gave similar evidence that which he gave the previous week.

Each defendant was fined 40/– including costs.
