Fishing Captain

As a reward for the ability which he has consistently shown during the last six years, Mr. V. R. Perry, of 157, Donacster Road, Goldthorpe has been selected captain of the Doncaster district fishing team in the All-England team championship which are to be held at Newton Blossomville on the Great Ouse this month.

The Doncaster team finished second last year, a position they have now held six times and local fishermen will wish them luck in going one better this time, especially as there will be among them, in addition to Mr. Perry, Mr. Dickinson of Mexborough and Mr. S. Buxton, of Bolton, all three of whom are members of the Balby Bridge club.

Mr. Perry, is a weighman at Goldthorpe Colliery.
