Dearne Valley Athletics

A sports club has been formed to cover the Goldthorpe, Thurnscoe and Bolton on Dearne districts, under the title of Dearne Athletic Club.

Headquarters are the Goldthorpe Welfare cricket ground which has a running track and training facilities.

Cross-country running, track running, field events and cycle racing will be held.

Applications for affiliation have been made to the Northern Counties, AA and the amateur athletic Association.
