A Dearne motor cyclist was killed in a collision with a car at the junction of Cleveland Street and St Sepulchre Gate, Doncaster, on Saturday morning.

He was Mr George Alfred Reeve (34) of 15 Hall St, Goldthorpe. Mr Reeve had bought a new machine a short time ago to drive from Goldthorpe to Balby, where he was employed at Briggs Motors Bodies Ltd.

His father, Mr C Reeve, 24 Victoria St, Mexborough, told a reporter is son was extremely well-known in Mexborough, has been employed as a fireman on the railway before taking a job at Briggs two and half years ago. Recently he had been promoted to assembly line work.
