Children in Danger

In the Goldthorpe area during July there were three accidents compared with 10 in the same month last year. There were five accidents involving dogs as compared with two last year.

Dearne Road Safety Committee secretary, Mr. Harry Fenton, told the “South Yorkshire Times” this week that these figures were encouraging.

“But the danger to children is still big. All three accidents involved children. I think that parents should spend more time teaching their youngsters road safety.”
