At Doncaster on Saturday, George Hoskins, labourer, Barmborough, was charged with assaulting Joe Firth, landlord of the Coach and Horses, Barmborough, on the 15th inst.
The defence was that the plaintiff struck the first blow, and that defendant acted in self-defence.
Fined 40s. and costs, or in default 21 days.
