Alleged Goldthorpe Threatener
At the instance of Lily Barry, Thomas Duffy, of Goldthorpe, was charged with using threats at Goldthorpe on September 30.
The complainant said she was in the yard at the back of the house, when the defendant use of very bad language.
The trouble is because of the children. Not content with spreading, he made an attempt to get over the wall.
“I told him that he was not a man” concluded the witness.
The defendant: She is falsely swearing. It was she who used the words to me. Defendant denied using the words.
“You don’t expect,” said he, “a chapel man to make use of the words she has said.
The case was dismissed
