Has lived in Goldthorpe 32 years, and a member of Dearne Council for 16 years with a two year break. A member of Wath, Swinton anti District Hospital Board, member of the ambulance committee, co-opted member of the women’s panel for National Service, and member of Dearne Savings Committee,
Mr. H. Rothnie (Ind.):
Has for many years been in practice at Goldthorpe as a dentist, Prominent member of Goldthorpe Chamber of Trade and a prime mover in Goldthorpe’s Community Centre project. Second bid for Council honours.
Mrs. S. Salisbury (Ind.):
Wife of Coun. G. B. Salisbury, only Independent member of Council. A Yorkshirewoman. Resident of Goldthorpe for 21 years and always a willing worker for charitable causes A savings group secretary in the township.

Brother of the Rt, Hon. Tom Williams, M.P. Minister of Agriculture.
