Sentences were passed by Mr. .Justice Atkinson Leeds Assizes yesterday follows:

Matthew Prest (54). single, a miner, at Hope Avenue. Goldthorpe, for offences against small boys – seven years’ penal servitude.

The Judge said that the offences were almost the most serious known to our Jaw. Again and again and again Prest had committed an abominable crime.
