House Entered In Daylight
Money Taken; Jewellery Not Touched
Some 15 minutes after Mrs. Fred Sadler, of 10, Lincoln Gardens, Goldthorpe, had locked her home to go out shopping, last night, her daughter visited the house and found the kitchen window open.
On investigation it was found that the house had been entered and ransacked.
About £6 in cash belonging to Mrs. Sadler was missing; a wallet belonging to her son was empty. How much the wallet contained is not known, as the son was not at home.
Watches, rings and other valuables which were lying about were untouched. Only money was taken.
It was later reported that a total of £14 was stolen.
