Mrs Beryl Thompson (20) was too shy to enter her 11 month old daughter in the “Bonny Baby” competition while on holiday at Butlins holiday camp, Pwllheli, but Mrs Nelly Latham new her granddaughter Jane was a “winner” and went in Mrs Thompson’s place.

How right she was, for baby Jane beat over 50 other entrants.
