200 Dancers at Barnburgh

Show Society’s Happy Debut

Under the glittering lights and brightly coloured trimmings of Barnburgh Memorial Hall, on Friday, some 200 dancers waltzed away the evening.

It was the Barnburgh and District Show Society’s first annual dance. The happy crowds were in constant motion to the lilting rhythm of the flowing music. M.C. for a packed programme was Mr. Rex Greenwood.

When the dancers paused for a “breather” refreshments were served by the Ladies’ Committee supervised by Mrs. R. Y. Taylor.

Proceeds were in aid of the society’s funds.
