Frank Raynor, of Goldthorpe, who has just been signed by Mansfield Town, was for some time with Goldthorpe United.

He played last season for Thurnscoe Victoria, but after his first two or three matches was transferred to Frickley. He has played some brilliant games but was not always consistent. Frickley seem to have brought out the best in him, however, at inside-right, for he was serving the club well at the close of last season.

He is still young enough to improve, and evidently Mansfield are out to develop him. He stands at 5ft. 9 and weighs just over 11st.
