Killed In Action
Pte. William Henry Doherty, (20), son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Doherty, 70, Sandy Lane, Coventry, (formerly of 30, Hope Avenue, Goldthorpe), has been killed in action with the Paratroops in North West Europe.
Pte. Doherty joined the R.A.M.C. in 1942 and volunteered for the Paratroops a year later.
He was an old pupil of Goldthorpe Senior School.
