Mrs. Calland, who is leading the Buxton Arms Ladies’ Bowling Club through a brilliant season, has brought another honour to the club by winning the Westville Women’s Championship.

Mrs. Calland has captained the Buxton Arms ladies for the last three years, and has won the Don and Dearne League merit for the last three years. She has been defeated only once this year, by Mrs. Spurr, of Wath, in the “Independent  Cup.”

She started bowling six years ago, when the Buxton Arms Ladies’ Club was formed, and has been beaten six times, only once in League games.

Buxton Arms have won the Don and Dearne League championship this season, are in the finals of the Montagu and Fullerton Cops, and are leading the table in the competition for the Denaby Welfare trophy.
