Husband and Wife Serving

Sapper J. G. Drew, of Goldthorpe, is serving overseas with the R.E.’s. having been abroad two years. He was in the Territorials before the war and is the son Mr. G. Drew, of Ladycroft, Bolton-on-Dearne. He is married and resides at 32. Elizabeth Street, Goldthorpe.

His wife. Driver S. E. Drew, is serving in the A.T.S. in England. She was presented with a life saving certificate, at Doncaster a few weeks ago for rescuing three aged people from a fire at Hexthorpe.

Sapper Drew was employed at Barnburgh Main Colliery before enlistment.
