Golden Wedding – Mr & Mrs Eades
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eades marked their golden wedding on Sunday. Mr. Eades is a native of Oldbury, Staffs, and Mrs Eades is a native of Swinton.
Mr. Eades, who is 71, is a retired miner, starting work at the age of 13 at Treeton Colliery, Rotherham. He also worked at Hickleton Main and Goldthorpe colliery.
Mrs. Eades is 69 and they have six sons, six daughters and 19 grandchildren.
They have just returned from a holiday in Surrey. There is to be a family gathering to-morrow (Saturday) at Highgate Halfway Hotel.
